Image mise en avant pour l'article

Low resolution vision and presence detection

Low power, low resolution image sensor ASIC

The ASIC is a smart self-contained multi sensor chip enabling key functionalities for integrated IoT applications where guaranteed low-resolution images are required e.g., for privacy reasons.

It provides a monochrome CMOS image taking for low power sensor systems where low standby current is essential for the application.

The chip can be programmed and integrated into a sensor network in master/slave mode.
The image processing can be done on chip, or raw data can be extracted for processing elsewhere. The image sensor is a 64x64 pixel sensor with a maximum frame rate of 10 frames/s.
A configurable PIR sensor interface delivers a movement/non-movement output when in low light environment.

Application areas:

Low resolution imaging, e.g. production automation.

Presence detection for department stores or the like.

Movement detection for department stores and the like.

Smart lighting applications.
