Presto developed an RF switch box in response to several customer needs for testing multipath RF amplifiers.
This kind of products usually needs Vector Network analyzer for S parameter testing. However, these types of instruments only have 2 or 4 ports, which means 1 input and 1 output or maximum 2 inputs and 2 outputs.
In our case, the DUTs (Device Under Test) we needed to test were designed with 1 input and 8 outputs.
This solution offers high integration system, replacing multiple discrete switching elements and numerous RF cables.
Presto Switchbox also offers a major advantage for testing compared to electromechanical switches, as it can handle 100M commutations.
