RGB measurement for light source monitoring

Written by Clara Coudoin | May 18, 2022 3:54:03 PM

Highly configurable RGB sensor ASIC

This is a highly configurable analog RGB sensor controlled through an I2C interface.

The chip consists of area programmable red, green and blue photodiodes connected to an integrating amplifier. Three parallel signal paths make it possible to simultaneously integrate the current from the RGB sensor. The measurement is output from the ASIC as differential voltages.
The application was developed to measure the ageing of light sources, but can be used in any application where an RGB light analysis is needed.
