An ASIC that can manage and store the energy provided by the harvester

It is an energy harvesting ASIC that can interface to DC voltage output energy harvesters like solar cells and TEG.

The ASIC manages and stores the energy provided by the harvester. The ASIC supports energy awareness that enables a host via a SPI interface to get power status information and control chip functions.

A programmable fully autonomous control of a regulated supply for off-chip load circuit is implemented. The chip is optimized for use with TEG and Solar cell harvesters but can be used with other type of DC output harvesters. The type of attached harvester can be configured externally.

Due to the chip low power consumption, it is suitable for low power applications.

Applications areas:

  • Remote Corrosion Monitoring System
  • Self Powered Iot Application
  • Low Power Sensor Interface
  • Low Power Wireless Nodes

Top technical features:

  • Low resolution imaging, e.g. production automation.
  • Presence detection for department stores or the like.
  • Movement detection for department stores and the like.
  • Smart lighting applications.
