Presto Engineering provides solutions for first silicon validation, new design or process characterization, as well as process transfers.

Our solutions focus on expediting these projects by leveraging our specific test methodologies, our unique analysis technologies, and the co-location of our complete set of capabilities, from test to reliability to failure analysis to root cause analysis.

We engage at tape-out through a registration step that enables the whole array of our acceleration capabilities. Central to the registration process is the development of the packages, interfaces, loadboards and test program that will be required later on, but are best executed off the critical path, while waiting for firts silicon. Our PrestoConnect products are developed at that time.

Specific to our approach is a dual test platform methodology that enables validation, characterization and debug on the highly flexible and versatile platform, while focusing production on the most cost-effective testers. When DFT, Scan or BIST is used, we include correlation (when applicable) in our deliverables.

As part of PrestoPE, we then perform validation, then characterization and optionally reliability and qualification. At each step, a bin list of issues preventing release is collected, reviewed and graded. While most issues can be addressed at test or with design engineers, some issues are critical enough that they warrant the use of advanced analysis capabilities. In such situation, a debug project is launched; we garantee results and we are only rewarded on success.

Finally, when debug yields its results, we have the ability to perform root cause analysis, allowing our customers (jointly with their design or process teams) to develop corrective actions plans and resolutions.
