Hervé Goguely

Hervé brings to the Presto Engineering board a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years in engineering, technology and high growth businesses.

He most recently served as a Venture Partner with Vision Capital in Silicon Valley while also serving as Chairman and President of Atempo, Inc. a data protection software provider. Prior to this, he was Chairman and CEO of Netcentrex, a leading provider of network platforms for Voice over IP networks. In 1995, Hervé created, led and grew the Worldwide Services Sales organization at Cisco Systems into a US$1.5 billion business within 4 years. Before his time at Cisco, he was the head of technical operations for Wellfleet Communications in Europe, Middle-East and Africa, which at the time in 1993 was the fastest growing US Company.

Hervé started his career with Hewlett Packard in Grenoble, France and worked in various engineering and technical-marketing positions before he was transferred to HP Network Marketing Center in Cupertino, CA. After his tenure at HP, he joined Bridge Communications, at the time, a leading company in the new field of Internetworking as the head of development for X.25, the SNA router and several other internetworking gateway products. Hervé holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Grenoble University.

Michel Villemain

Michel founded Presto Engineering and is our Chief Executive Officer since inception in 2006.

Prior to this, Michel was Vice President Marketing for the Circuit Edit and Mask Repair Division at FEI, and General Manager of the CD-SEM Business Unit at KLA-Tencor. Michel started his career with Schlumberger (later NPTest), where he served as General Manager for Schlumberger ATE Europe, Vice President Marketing of the Test Division, and for five years General Manager of the Probe Systems (IDS) Division.

Michel graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in France, and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Orsay University.

Peter J. Courture

Peter Courture is UMC's Chief Strategic Officer, with responsibility for alliances, joint ventures and Intellectual Property Rights Group. Mr. Courture joined UMC in 1983 as legal counsel, served as General Counsel since 1993 and as Chief Strategic Officer since 2000.

Prior to joining UMC, Mr. Courture was a partner in the Silicon Valley law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati representing semiconductor and other high technology companies. Mr. Courture also serves as a court appointed neutral for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, as a Judge Pro Tempore for the Santa Clara County Superior Court and as a teacher at Stanford Law School.

Mr. Courture earned his bachelor's degree (Phi Beta Kappa) in Economics from Yale College in 1976 and a J.D. degree (Order of the Coif) from Stanford Law School in 1979.

David Manjarres

David is deputy general manager of Masseran Gestion (AUM: €130m) and manages its Venture Capital Activities.

Prior to this, he was in charge of primary and secondary fund of funds investments & co-investments for Group Tikehau Capital (AUM: €500m). He began his career at the French Armament Procurement Agency (DGA) in charge of R&D programmes in electronic components for 7 years. Then he joined CDC Entreprises (AUM: €1.2bn) where he spent 6 years as an Investment Director.

David holds an electronics engineering degree from Ecole Nationale des Ingénieurs et Techniques d'Armement in France, and a Master in management of technology and innovation from University of Paris IX Dauphine.

Xavier R. Wartelle

Xavier Wartelle is a serial entrepreneur who has started three successful high tech companies. Xavier’s career spans more than 23 years of executive leadership in startups and mature companies in networking, telecommunication, VoIP, enterprise software and internet businesses. Xavier helps start-ups to define their global strategy, jump-start their business, and implement operations in the US.

Xavier was an advisor and US representative of Ipanto that has been recently acquired by Infoblox. Previously, Xavier was co-founder, CEO and EVP Sales of Brixlogic a provider of SOA solutions for the financial industry. Brixlogic was acquired by Diebold (NYSE: DBD). Xavier was COO, and SVP Business Development of NetCentrex a leading supplier of VoIP service platform for enterprises and carriers. NetCentrex was acquired by Comverse (NASDAQ: CMVT).

Previously, Xavier had served as CEO of Thomson-CSF Enterprise Networks and in various international positions within Thomson-CSF. Xavier holds an engineering degree from Ecole Nationale des Arts et Métiers, Paris.

Dave Bakker

Dave Bakker has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the emiconductor and high technology industries. Previously, Dave served as CEO and Executive Chairman of Inovys Corp, which was sold to Verigy. He was VP and General Manager at KLA-Tencor and ran businesses from software to e-beam and inspection systems. He has several patents and publications in the fields of semiconductor inspection and yield.

Currently Dave has advisory and board positions with EyeCycles, Finesse, Infinitesima, NoiseFree Wireless, Ribbecke Guitar Corp, ScanR Corp, Stratosphere Solutions, and is an Affiliate Partner of Storm Ventures. He is also a mentor at Stanford Universities graduate engineering program on Technology Venture Formation.

Amir Lev

Amir Lev brings more than 20 years of senior executive marketing and senior technical leadership in leading fortune 500 companies including KLA-Tencor and Intel Corporation.

Amir is currently CEO and Co-founder of LS BioPath, a medical device start-up. From 2000 to 2006, he has been Vice President Marketing in several of KLA-Tencor's business (Optical, E-Beam Parametric Metrology group, Wafer inspection group).

Prior to joining KLA-Tencor, Amir has been a senior engineering and R&D manager (as well as quality and reliability manager) at Intel in Israel (Fab8, Fab18), Portland (PTD), Albuquerque (Fab11) and Santa Clara (SCTD).

Amir earned B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in chemical engineering and material science from the Technion, Israel institute of technology Suma cum laude. His technical specialties include Lithography process and equipment, metrology, process control, E-Beam systems, polyimides and spin on glass and yield and reliability management. He has authored several papers and patents related to semiconductor processing and metrology. Amir is a member of SPIE.

Richard J. Ross

Richard J. Ross has over 35 years experience in the semiconductor industry, the most recent 25 in management of a Failure Analysis team at IBM Microelectronics in Essex Junction, Vermont. Prior to his involvement in FA, Dick had management experience in Technology Reliability and Process and Product Development. He also has had engineering experience in Device Characterization/Modeling, Product Engineering, and Circuit Design.

Dick is a founding board member and a past President of the Electronic Devices Failure Analysis Society (EDFAS) and was the 2001 General Chair of the International Symposium for Test and Failure Analysis (ISTFA) and Co-editor of the Fourth Edition of the Microelectronics Failure Analysis Desk Reference.

Dick holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Engineering Management. He holds two U.S. Patents and has published several articles and regularly teaches tutorials and short courses on the subject of Failure Analysis Lab Management.
